Myofascial Training

The myofascial system permeates our entire body from head to toe, wrapping and connecting all its parts like a dewy spiderweb through which kinetic energy is transmitted, immunity cells, nutrients and metabolic waste are exchanged and transported. With 6 times more sensory nerves then muscle , the fascial network is also one of our richest sensory organs, playing a key role not just in the way we move (affecting of range of motion and kinetic energy transmission) but also in the way we hold ourselves (our posture) and how we feel.

Myofascial training is a fundamental aspect of physical exercice that allows us to improve our athletic performance and range of motion, improving our posture and addressing issues of chronic pain and poor circulation of body fluids.
Myofascial exercise can be integrated in each type of training or performed on its own through a combination of different techniques of activation, mobilisation, stretching and release.

Functional stretching is complementary to this approach and targeted at releasing hyperfacilitated muscle fibres while activating inhibited ones. This allows proper utilisation of all muscles fibres reducing tensions and preventing the progressive reduction of our functional range of motion.
