Garuda Apparatus

Through a variety of exercises performed in a steady flow, the Garuda method marries the principles of pilates as well as yoga postures and breathing, together with the slow flow movements typical of Taïchi and the elegance of dance. Garuda also stimulates the flow of vital energy, boosting your own energy levels and providing a unique feeling of wellbeing at the end of each training.

The studio is equipped with the original Garuda machine making each class a unique experience of its kind. Developed by James D’Silva , fitness coach of Madonna and Trudie Styler, Garuda is a must among the new holistic fitness disciplines.

Garuda Tara

Garuda Tara, also known as Sling, is an integral and unique part of the Garuda apparatus. It consists of fixed helical springs attached to a belt strap which allow you to perform a great variety of movements while working different parts of your body simultaneously.

The benefits

Like the Garuda apparatus, Garuda Tara allows you to explore multiple movements and exercises that simultaneously train the body and the mind, providing great physical benefits and improved mental strength.

Improves balance

By working in imbalance, Garuda Tara’s main goals is to challenge the activation and synergy of the local and global stabilisers. This allows the practitioner’s work with this technique to actively defy gravity.

Increases the strength

The Garuda Tara technique helps to release muscular tensions along the spine and corrects postural issues, a crucial aspect in preventing back pain.
